My first experience with mental health came about when I developed a psychological disorder, agoraphobia, which rendered me unable to live a “normal” life for more than 2 years. With therapy, support from my family and self-determination, I was able to gradually overcome the disorder and move forward, taking with me a profound appreciation for the power of ones mind.

I spent time living in India where I worked as a volunteer at a non-profit organisation in a rural part of India. Though hugely impactful and fulfilling, I was challenged both physically and emotionally by the demands of the task through which I developed qualities of resilience, curiosity and perspective … resilience through working in harsh environments, curiosity and acceptance through embracing cultural differences, communication through and underatdning through overcoming language barriers and being effective in my role as a volunteer.

It was not until I became sick during my first year of university in the UK that made me look inward and reflect, ultimately leading me to prematurely leave the UK and return home to Hong Kong.

Since returning, for over 10 years I have run my own company, a professional tennis managment company, in Hong Kong, coaching and running tennis programmes and events in Hong Kong. Through running my business coupled with the other experiences over the years, I discovered my passion for coaching, leadership, growth and personal development which has lead to me where I am today.

I share my deeply personal journeys with you as an invitation to embrace your uniqueness and to recognize that your own challenges may contain the seeds of your most profound capabilities.
